Weekend Recap: 10/11-10/13

Happy Monday!

Hopefully you were able to greet today with a cup of coffee in hand and a smile on your face!

I am so happy to say that this weekend the weather has finally started to cool down. The mornings are in the low 60’s and sometimes even the 50’s. Even in the middle of the day we are not breaking 100 anymore. I can’t wait until it is finally sweater weather outside and I can finally pull out my boot collection.

Like they always do, this weekend sped by in a flash. Friday night after work I headed home to bake cookies for the farmers market on Saturday. Before I settled in for the evening to start baking, Damiean and I headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It has been awhile since I had dinner there and I was excited to indulge in their delicious rolls and butter.

Once we were home, it was time to get started. I baked until about 9:30 and then fell into bed so I was well rested when the alarm went off the next day.

The farmers market went really well and we were thrilled to see quite a few familiar faces. The weather was pretty nice so that market was full of people until almost the very end. I stark contrast to the 12:00 slump we had in the middle of the summer.

Once we packed up and headed home, Cierra and I were spent! We stopped by Dunkin Donuts to pick up a coffee and then headed to my parents house to hang out and have dinner. If you read Friday’s post, you saw the super cute dinner we had from Papa Murphy’s. But just in case, here is a photo of their Jack-O-Lantern pizza.

After a few episodes of Halloween Wars, I headed home for the evening and was pretty much beat!

Sunday was busy with the usual chores- laundry, meal prepping and sprucing up the house. Once that was done, I headed to the salon to do some self-care, you can find more on that here!

Once I was home, Damiean and I grabbed some lunch and ran some errands. Later that day, Damiean headed to the movies and I stayed home to do some sewing and work on some blogging homework.

Overall, the weekend was really good but I am always sad when they are over!

What did you do this weekend?
