35 Week- Bumpdate!
Happy Tuesday Everyone! I will say that I already feel confused on what day of the week it is so this week will be even more crazy! As of today we are less than a month away from our due date which feels extremely weird to say. It seemed so far away when we found out in November and now we are almost there! My belly definitely seems to be popping big time these days and any view of my feet that I had previously has gone away.
Current Cravings: Right now I am craving milk and pretty much anything sweet! In the beginning I found myself craving more savory things which was totally not like me and now I can’t get enough sweet things.
Current Ache’s and Pains: My back!! There were days 2 weeks ago that I could hardly walk the pain was so intense. I am thankful that I seem to have found a great solution in a pillow for my chair at work that I got off Amazon. I will be sure to share it later on today for anyone who’s interested. Outside of my back, my hips are the sorest spot so far.
Sleep: I miss sleep! I miss sleeping a full night and not waking up 4 or 5 times and then struggling to fall back asleep. Definitely something I took for granted previously! I have yet to find a good option on the sleep front because nothing I have tried so far makes it any easier to stay asleep. I am definitely open for suggestions!
Maternity Clothes: I am basically living in either my husbands shirts, my maternity clothes and a select few shirts that I have that were too big previously. Sadly the maternity shirts seem to get a little shorter everyday so I find myself flashing a bit of belly to strangers!
Aversions: I am lucky right now and don’t have any aversions that I am aware of but that could all change tomorrow!
New Updates: In other update news, the gestational diabetes is diet controlled and the doctor is extremely happy with my numbers. I am feel fortunate because in some of the Facebook groups I am a part of most of the ladies in there are not so lucky and are forced to go on medication. I am going to do a post or two regarding the NST’s (Non Stress Tests) that I go in for and exactly what to expect. Unfortunately, I feel there is not a ton of information out there and I would love to share with any other expecting mama’s what it has been like from my perspective.
Also, my sister threw us a “by mail” baby shower and we are so, so lucky to have such amazing family and friends!! Our little one is blessed already and I am thankfully feeling a little more prepared everyday for his arrival. One thing I am questioning is whether or not we should take some maternity type photos. I sort of feel like I will regret it if we don’t so I am not sure what to do!
What was one thing you absolutely needed that you forgot to ask for on your registry?
Did you take maternity photos?
