Haunted Mansion Maniac
Happy Thursday!
I hope you all are speeding through the week! With a quick trip to California happening this weekend, the days are not passing quick enough.
In case you didn’t know, today marks the 49th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland which opened on this day in 1969.
Even though I was not a huge fan of this ride as a kid, I have become extremely fond of this ride over the last few years. I am not sure why I am drawn to it but I constantly find myself excited to ride over and over again. If you follow my Instagram, you know this to be true from the extensive amount of photos and boomerangs I post.
While I do love the ride as it is.. I LOVE when two holidays collide and Jack Skellington wrecks the halls of the mansion.Nothing to me says the holiday season has arrived more than the pumpkins dawning the outside of the mansion and the smell of gingerbread wafting through the hallways.
Luckily, Disneyland has a number of souvenirs that allow me to take a piece of the mansion with me when I go home. As some of you have seen I am currently using my Hatbox Ghost coffee mug at work.
I also have a very expensive habit… the Disney Dooney and Bourke’s call to me each time I visit and I am happy to say I carry a piece of the mansion with me everyday in the form of a purse.
This is just one of my collection! I have the larger shoulder bag as well as the crossbody. This one is the perfect size because it hangs just right on my shoulder and fits everything I might need on a day-to- day basis.
Which version of the mansion is your favorite?
