Thirty,Flirty & Thriving

Hey Everyone!

I planned to get started on regularly posting sooner, but life has been crazy good and I’ve been soaking it up!

Today finally felt like a good day to start because not only is it Monday (Monday = Fresh Start) but it is also my 30th Birthday!

Over the past few weeks I have had mixed feelings about turning 30. Part of me felt excited at the prospect of a fresh start and new adventures. The other part of me was scared and a little bit sad to be leaving my 20’s behind.

When I turned 29, I had these grand plans and a list of all the things I wanted to do before I turned 30. Looking back a that list, I felt a little disappointed because I had barely made a dent. However, as I reflected back over this past year, I realized that it was amazing!

I am a creature of habit and try to stay inside my comfort zone. This past year, I am happy to say, I stepped both feet outside of that safe little bubble and loved (almost) every minute of it.

Here are a few highlights from this past year:

I finished my 3rd Tinkerbell Half Marathon and 4th total half marathon:

I Participated in my 3rd Color Run:

I celebrated my best friend having her first child:

We welcomed a new addition to our family:

I enjoyed time with my family:

I met the my main squeeze:

I Kayaked for the first time:

I hiked for the first, second and third time:

I went on vacation with my main squeeze and shared a new adventure:

Completed my 5th half marathon!

Along with all of these wonderful things that have happened over the last year, I can’t help but remember with a heavy heart the two losses my family has dealt with.

We lost two members of our family.

My Great Aunt Charlotte:

And Our sweet Abbie:

I am so thankful to all of my friends and family who have made the last year of my 20’s so wonderful and memorable.

I can’t wait to see what adventures await in my 30’s.
