Happy Monday! Why do the weekends go by so quickly? I don’t know what it is about the “holiday season” (October-January) that make the weekends feel like they fly by? Maybe it is the hustle and bustle of trying to squeeze in as many family …
I know, I know. It’s Tuesday! I had the best of intentions on posting this yesterday but did not quite get it finished! So therefore, you are getting two posts today to make up for it. How was your weekend? Mine always seem to fly …
How is it Monday again already?! Didn’t I just walk out of work so thankful it was the weekend?
Speaking of, how was your weekend? Going into mine I had grand ambitions to be super productive and get a million things off of my to-do list. While some of those things happened, a huge majority of them did not.
Saturday started out kinda slow, updating my lists and looking over some paperwork that had come in the mail over the course of the week. As the day progressed, I had convinced myself I needed two things- a haircut and a new day planner. Not even necessarily a new kind of day planner because I love my Erin Condren, but just a new planner- a fresh start! Since my current day planner is still perfectly fine and will last me until December, I settled for the haircut.
It has been awhile since I cut any length off of my hair and since I have some changes going on in my life right now, I was itching for a little bit of change. Now, haircuts are hard since I like my hair long and always want the option of a bun or a ponytail. I was relieved to have gotten a stylist at Fantastic Sams (not my usual hair place) that really listened to me and what I was looking for. Not only was I thrilled at the price but I walked out feeling refreshed and happy.
Saturday night was spent with my best friend! She and I have been friends for almost 30 years and had a great time catching up, eating pizza and hanging out with her adorable little boy.
Sunday started out…rough. There are a lot of words I could use to describe it but rough really is the best. I woke up with the mother of all headaches! It radiated all throughout my sinuses and made me feel sick to my stomach every time I moved. I literally spent a huge majority of the day curled up in bed with a blanket over my face to try and keep the light out. Unfortunately, I was stuck like this until pretty late in the afternoon and did not get even half of the things I wanted to done. When I finally did venture out of bed, I headed out to Dunkin Donuts to pick up some coffee and back out again to pick up groceries for the week (thank god for Walmart Grocery Pick Up!)
Once I was home, I had a team meeting with my travel agency and ate a delicious salad from Texas Roadhouse. From there it was right back into my pj’s and after a tiny bit of prep for work tomorrow, I was off to bed.
Even though this week will now be spent playing a little bit of catch up, I have some wonderful blog posts coming up that cover a large variety of topics. I hope that your Monday is great and I will see you again tomorrow!
Happy Monday! I don’t know about you but I always dread Monday, especially when the weekend is full of activities and seems to speed by like crazy! This weekend was full of running, movies and hockey! Since D works on the weekend, I spend a …
