Hi There! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Since I do want to start doing monthly updates, I figured now was a good time to start! Connor turned 3 months old yesterday and it is hard to believe that time is …
Hey Everyone! Long time no talk… So first off, hello! I have missed you guys. For those of you still around, thank you for your patience. For those of you that are new, welcome! Today’s post will probably be pretty short but the thought of …
I hope you are having a great day so far. I have been meaning to do a bump-date and time just keeps passing so fast I figured now was a good of time as any.
Right now I am 29 weeks, almost 30! It really is hard to believe that we are getting so close to meeting this baby.
So this might take a post or two to figure out the best way to lay out these bump-dates but for now, here we go!
Current Cravings: Right now I am really craving a can of Sprite, apple fritter donuts and coffee!! Basically, I am craving anything sweet.
Current Ache’s and Pains: Omg! I feel like the past 2 weeks I have developed all sorts of new aches and pains. Specifically, my back is the worst. There are some days that it hurts to walk but I am trying to do some stretches and try to help alleviate that. The heart burn is also very real lately and I find myself getting heartburn after eating almost every meal.
Sleep: Sleep is wonky lately. I struggle with getting up every morning once I am sleeping but falling asleep is relatively difficult lately.
Maternity Clothes: I started out by buying a few key pieces but have had to invest in a few additional pieces because I got the go-ahead to skip the “uniform” at work and just wear my maternity clothing. I am appreciative of that because I was quickly growing out of my polo.
Aversions: Right now aversions seem to come and go. During my first trimester I was against anything with chicken but luckily I have started to enjoy almost all proteins again.
New Updates: I debated on whether or not to post about this but, honesty is always the best policy so… I have gestational diabetes. I was extremely disappointed to hear that information but there is nothing I can do about it aside from follow the doctors orders. It has been a little less than a week since I was diagnosed, so right now I am trying to find out what spikes my blood sugar and what is tolerable. So far, noodles and rice seem to be the biggest culprits but I have been trying to eat as low carb as possible. I MISS cookies! Like, a lot! But I am looking into some different recipes that I can try. I am thankful that I only have about 10 weeks left before this is hopefully a distant memory. If anyone has any tips or tricks that worked for them, they would be much appreciated.
I will be doing another bump-date soon. Anything pregnancy related you are curious about? Be sure to leave a comment!
Happy Monday Everyone! If you follow me on Instagram, which you totally should, I made a huge announcement! Two of them actually. Not only are Damiean and I engaged! We are also expecting! Currently, I am 21 weeks and pretty much exhausted all the time! …
