Shark Week Popcorn
Good Morning!
I hope all of you are having a great Monday!
Sunday marked the official first day of Shark Week, A.K.A, One of the best weeks of the year. I am always looking for creative ways to celebrate and create festive treats and decorations.
For previous holidays, my youngest sister has made this amazing chocolate covered popcorn and I thought I would give it a try but with a shark theme.
So here it is, Shark Week Popcorn!
If you would like to know how it was made, here are the directions:
Shark Week Popcorn
To start with, pop some popcorn. I used the kernels and oil in the machine but you could easily use the bagged kind to keep it simple.
Next, I laid out a cookie sheet with parchment paper on top and spread out the popcorn in one layer.
After spreading out the popcorn, I added some blue gummy sharks. ( I got a whole bag from Wal-mart for $.98)
The next step was to melt some blue chocolate for drizzling. I warmed it for 30 second increments until it was smooth.
After melting the chocolate I used the spoon to drizzle chocolate on the popcorn evenly and then added some sprinkles.
Once the chocolate and sprinkles have been spread over the popcorn you can either let it sit on the counter to harden or you can pop it int he fridge for 10 minutes.
When the chocolate has hardened simply break it up into pieces and then enjoy!
This is the perfect treat to satisfy either a sweet or salty craving and such a great treat for shark week fanatics!
What is your favorite treat to enjoy during Shark Week?
