Super Simple Crescent Roll Mummy Hot Dogs

Super Simple Crescent Roll Mummy Hot Dogs

Happy Tuesday!!

I hope you all had a fantastic day! It was so chilly this morning and finally feels like Fall. I was born and raised right here in AZ so having it be 44 degrees this morning had me ready to run back inside for a coat and my boots. I am excited that this Halloween it might actually be cool enough to enjoy outside.

Since we are getting closer to Halloween, I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you a recipe my mom makes every year- Crescent Roll Mummy Hot Dogs.

Crescent Roll Mummy Hot dogs

Such a super fun and simple recipe for Halloween!
Prep Time 20 minutes
Servings: 10

Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 1 Can Crescent Roll Dough (8oz)
  • 10 Hot Dogs
  • Mustard
  • 2 1/2 Slices Cheese, Cut in Quarters (Optional)

Equipment

  • Cookie Sheet
  • Cutting Board
  • Pizza Cutter, Knife or Kitchen Scissors
  • Cooking Spray

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375*F
  2. Unroll dough; separate creating 4 rectangles. You can either attach all of the rectangles together to create one giant sheet or leave as separate rectangles.
  3. With pizza cutter, knife or scissors, cut each of the rectangles or sheet into thin pieces , making roughly 38-40 slices.
  4. If using cheese, slice into quarters and utilize them as "bandages".
  5. Wrap pieces of dough (and cheese) around each hot dog to make it look like bandages. By stretching the dough a little you will be able to cover the hot dog completely.
  6. About an inch or so from each end, separate the bandages to make room for a "face".
  7. Place on un-greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Once cooled, use mustard to place eyes.
  10. Enjoy!

I know this post is a little earlier in the week than I originally planned but it fit into the craziness of this week better! I will be posting all the blog topics discussed on Sunday but the schedule is going to vary a little as I said.

I hope all of you have a great day!
