My Favorite Travel Destination!
Hey Everyone!
Happy Tuesday. I hope the day is going great so far. Today, I have a question for you.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
I have been fortunate enough to travel to a variety of different places throughout the United States. I’ve visited mountains, lakes, beaches, deserts and almost everywhere in between. However, my wanderlust doesn’t cease and I often find myself day dreaming of traveling abroad to a variety of European countries or to some tropical islands. My hope is that someday soon I can fulfill those dreams and visit as many exotic locations as possible.
But, todays focus is not on places I am dreaming of going, it is about my favorite place I have been so far! If you have followed me or know me in real life, you know the answer is the Disneyland Resort.
It may seem cheesy and I have been told that it is a place for kids. However, I beg to differ! For me, Disneyland and California Adventure have always been somewhere I long for when the days feel stressful or life feels like too much. It is also a place I dream of visiting when the holidays grow near. Basically, anytime of year, any season, any day, it would not take much to convince me to take a trip to the Disney Parks. My love for Disney runs steadfast and strong and I see no real reason to ever stop loving it. I know the arguments are that it is expensive and not worth the money. Yes, Disney is expensive but I feel like you get so much more than you pay for. Disney is magic! The parks have always been a magical experience for me both as an adult and as a child. It is a place where I have spent quality time with my family. Celebrated countless birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, New Years Eve’s, New Years Day’s, and other huge milestones. It is also a place where I have made wonderful memories with friends over the years.
One of the most magical experiences, at least in my opinion, is walking through the gates and forgetting about the nuances of everyday life and really soaking in the magic that is all around you. The immersion is amazing! So amazing that I do often find myself listening to Disney Parks music on Spotify.
I am very excited for all the changes that have taken place and that continue to take place as the parks grow and adapt to the times. While I do feel a little nostalgic that things are sometimes not the way they were, I feel that is always a good thing. It is what Walt wanted and it is what the imagineers strive for, progress!
As I said, I have traveled many places- some far, some near. But Disneyland will always be my home away from home and my thought when I am exiting is always, when can we do this again?
