I am finally back from a bit of a break. I needed some time to catch up on some projects and clear my head.
I will be honest, I did seriously consider quitting my blog. That is tough to admit but the thought did cross my mind. However, the slump passed and here we are!
I am putting together a few review posts for the Tinkerbell Half marathon/ Pixie Dust Challenge Weekend. Also, I will be reviewing quite a few experiences I have had since we last spoke.
Let’s catch up, grab a cup of coffee and talk about whats been going on.
Family- As far as my family goes, things are going mostly great. My youngest sister has recently been accepted as a member of a club soccer team. With that comes some amazing opportunities for scholarships as well as a career in soccer if she chooses to continue forward from here. My middle sister is a baker who means business these days.
If you are in the state of Arizona, make sure you check out her website! http://www.cierrasbakeshoppe.com
Running- since we talked last I have done quite a few training runs leading up to one huge race weekend.
But since then I haven’t run one step. That is hopefully changing since I have been working up start training again. However, I have been dealing with some on and off IT Band pain. I will say, having no races on the schedule makes it tough to get motivated. Any suggestions for upcoming races?
Love Life- As far as this area goes, things are amazing! In February, My main squeeze and I took a vacation to celebrate his birthday at my families cabin.
It was so awesome to get a chance to relax and spend time together in the snow! We also went skiing at Sunrise Ski Resort.
Skiing was awesome! Unfortunately, we both took a spill that left us a little bruised. I found out later that my IT Band got a little more banged up than I thought but you’ll hear more about that in my review of Tink!
That night we ventured out to a new dinner location called Darby’s Cafe and we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. Apparently, we looked like a super loving couple (which we are, lol) because the four men at the table behind us (who happened to be a barber shop quartet) decided to serenade us in honor of Valentine’s day being right around the corner. It was a very unique experience that neither of us (at least not me) will ever forget.
I woke up on Valentine’s Day to flowers and we went out for an amazing breakfast and then sadly had to head home.
Life is crazy and everyday is different but here we are!
I can’t wait to share my adventures with you!
